John
19:33-34 But when they came to Jesus
and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. But one of
the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water
came out.
Even after the death of our Lord Jesus
Christ, his dead body was abused by the Roman soldier who used the spear to
pierce the side of his body. Immediately, blood and water poured out of his
dead body.
Most
Wicked Persons
Acts
1:18-19 (Now this man purchased a
field with the wages of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst open in the
middle and all his entrails gushed out. And it became known to all those
dwelling in Jerusalem; so that field is called in their own language, Akel Dama,
that is, Field of Blood.)
Judas Iscariot committed the worst sin,
which is unpardonable, for betraying the Messiah Jesus. After his death his
stomach burst open and poured out blood. Similarly with the death of Queen
Jezebel, the most wicked queen who massacred many prophets of God and also
forced His husband King Ahad and the Jews to apostate by worshipping Baal.
2 Kings
9:33,35 Then he said, “Throw her
(Jezebel) down.” So they threw her down, and some of her blood spattered on
the wall and on the horses; and he trampled her underfoot... So they went
to bury her, but they found no more of her than the skull and the feet and the
palms of her hands.
Precious
Blood of Jesus
The blood that poured out from Jesus' death
body was able to cleanse even the worst sin committed by men. So all men can be
saved by the grace of God.
Jesus
Replaced Animal Sacrifices
Heb 10:4,
9-10 For it is not possible that the
blood of bulls and goats could take away sins... then He said, “Behold, I have
come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish
the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of
the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
It is God's will that the death of Jesus
replaced the imperfect animal's sacrifices and also the Mosaic Law of the Old
Covenant (first) with the New Covenant of His precious blood.
Living
Water from Jesus
John
7:37-39 On the last day, that great
day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let
him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has
said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke
concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the
Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
All those who sincerely trust and believe
Him (as God, Father, Saviour, Healer, Provider, Protector, Comforter, etc) will
be blessed with the overflowing of the living water.
All those who believe Jesus by keeping His
word, the Father will give them the Spirit of truth, who will guide them into
all truth and tell them the things to come.
Freedom
with Truth
Heb
10:22-23 let us draw near with a true
heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil
conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the
confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
The pure or living water poured out from
Jesus is His truth given to all Christians who abide in His word. The truth
will set us free from the bondages of the flesh (washed) and the evil conscious
of the soul.
John
8:31-32,36 Then Jesus said to those
Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free...Therefore if
the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed."
John
1:14 And the Word became flesh and
dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of
the Father, full of grace and truth.
The
Blood shed on the
cross was His Grace for the remission of sin.
The
Water shed was His
Truth for the sanctification and transformation into His image.
